Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Chinese medicine nursing on recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients after gastrointestinal surgery. Methods: A total of 98 cases of patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the even-numbered or odd-numbered surgery dates, 49 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing methods,and the observation group was additionally given comprehensive Chinese medicine nursing based on the intervention of the control group. The recovery time of bowel sound and the time of starting to eat,the first anal exhaust and defecation in the two groups were observed and compared, and the nursing satisfaction in the two groups was evaluated. Results:After treatment,the recovery time of bowel sound and the time ofstarting to eat,the first anal exhaust and defecation in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate was 91.84 % in the observation group and 65.31% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Chinese medicine comprehensive nursing for patients after gastrointestinal surgery can accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function and improve nursing satisfaction.
