Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Fuming capsules combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops for dry eye after cataract surgery. Methods：A total of 94 cases of patients with dry eye after cataract surgery were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sodium hyaluronate eye drops，and the observation group was additionally given oral administration of Fuming capsules. Before and after treatment，the scores of clinical manifestation of dry eye，Schirmer I test， tear break- up time(BUT)， and cornea fluorescein staining(FL) were compared between the two groups. The total clinical effect was counted in the two groups. Results：The cure and markedly effective rate was 95.47% in the observation group，and 72.34% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the symptom scores of dry eyein the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of Schirmer I test and BUT in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the scores of FL were decreased(P＜0.05)； the improvement of each index above in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：For dry eye after cataract surgery，the therapy of oral administration of Fuming capsules combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops can promote tear secretion， better stabilize tear film， and alleviate dry eye symptoms. Its curative effect is better than that of simple sodium hyaluronate eye drops.
