Abstract：Objective：To explore the effect of early rehabilitation combined with Chinese medicine nursing on recovery of limb function in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods：A total of 68 cases of patients with hemiplegia after stroke were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 34 cases in each group. The control group was given early rehabilitation nursing，and the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine nursing based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after nursing，the extremity motor function，living ability，neurologic impairment and quality of life in the two groups were compared. Results：Before nursing， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of motor function in upper and lower extremities， life ability， and Chinese Stroke Scale(CSS) between the two groups(P＞0.05). After nursing， the scores of motor function in upper and lower extremities and life ability in the two groups were increased when compared with those before nursing，and CSS scores were decreased；the scores of motor function in upper and lower extremities and life ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group， and CSS score was decreased， differences being significant(P＜0.05). The scores of material function， psychological function， body function and social function in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Early rehabilitation combined with Chinese medicine nursing can promote the recovery of extremity motor function and life ability in patients with hemiplegia after stroke，improve their neurologic impairment，enhance their quality of life，and promote their rehabilitation.
