Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of the application of Chinese medicine nursing technique combined with enema with Xiaokui prescription in ulcerative colitis(UC). Methods:A total of 112 cases of UC patients were selected and randomly divided into the study group and the control group according to the number of admission time, 56 cases in each group. Both groups were given enema with Xiaokui prescription;the control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was additionally given Chinese medicine nursing technique including foot bath with Chinese herbal medicine, warming- needle moxibustion and auricular point sticking based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were intervened for one month. After intervention, nursing satisfaction and the improvement of the quality of life in the two groups were compared. Results: The total nursing satisfaction was 96.43% in the study group, higher than that of 73.21% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of gastrointestinal symptoms, general symptoms, emotional competence and social ability in the two groups were increased when compared with those before intervention(P<0.05), and the above scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Chinese medicine nursing technique combined with enema with Xiaokui prescription can promote the rehabilitation of UC patients and improve their nursing satisfaction and quality of life.
