Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of characteristic nursing technique of Chinese medicine on postoperative recovery from tracheotomy in patients with cerebral hemorrhage. Methods:A total of 100 cases of patients with cerebral hemorrhage who underwent tracheotomy were randomly divided into two groups,50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention after surgery, and the observation group was additionally given intervention of characteristic nursing technique of Chinese medicine based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one month. The clinical effect, the scores of Simplified Fugl- Meyer Assessment(FMA), and the incidence of airway trauma, sputum obstruction, intrapulmonary infection, and other postoperative complications were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 82.00% in the observation group, and 64.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of FMA of the upper and the lower limbs as well as the total scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05); each score above in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). During treatment, the incidence of airway trauma, sputum obstruction, and intrapulmonary infection were 16.00% , 12.00% , and 14.00% respectively in the observation group, and 50.00%,38.00%,and 32.00% respectively in the control group;the comparison of the incidence between the two groups showed significance in differences(P<0.05). Conclusion: Characteristic nursing technique of Chinese medicine can effectively improve postoperative clinical effect in the treatment of patients with cerebral hemorrhage who underwent tracheotomy, promote the recovery of the limb function, and reduce the incidence of complications.
