Abstract： To summarize the treatment methods and administration characteristics. Literature on the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus by physicians was screened in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) database. Analysis on frequency and cluster of treatments mentioned by physicians was carried out，and the frequency of commonlyused Chinese medicines was analyzed. The common treatments of systemic lupus erythematosus by various physicians are detoxifying，clearing heat，tonifying the kidney，resolving stasis，nourishing yin，and activating blood，among which the methods of detoxifying and clearing heat have the highest frequency. The commonly-used Chinese medicines include heatclearing and blood- cooling medicine， spleen- tonifying and kidney- replenishing medicine， detoxicating and stasisdissipating medicine，and yin-nourishing and heat-clearing medicine. The rule of treatment differs according to the stage of the disease； in the active stage， patients are mainly treated with detoxicating and heat- clearing method to control the disease； in the remission stage， patients are mainly treated with method to reinforce the healthy qi and supplement deficiency，so as to reach a stable condition.
