Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Lizhong tang for recurrent oral ulcer of spleen-stomach deficiency cold type. Methods：A total of 38 cases of children with recurrent oral ulcer of spleen- stomach deficiency cold type were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group，20 and 18 cases in each group respectively. The treatment group was treated with modified Lizhong tang，and the control group was given the oral administration of vitamin B2. Both groups were treated for five days. The ulcer area and ulcer pain in the two groups were observed and compared，and the clinical effect in the two groups was counted. Results： The total effective rate was 95.00% in the treatment group and 66.67% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The improvement of the grading of ulcer area and ulcer pain in the treatment group was better than that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of ulcer area and ulcer pain in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above two scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The application of modified Lizhong tang has significant curative effect in treating children with recurrent oral ulcer of spleen-stomach deficiency cold type，and its effect is better than that of vitamin B2.
