Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of Yiqi Yangyin prescription combined with levothyroxine sodium tablets for patients after surgery of thyroid carcinoma. Methods：A total of 68 cases of patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma who received surgical treatment were selected as the study subjects. After surgery， all patients were still diagnosed as qi-yin deficiency syndrome. The patients were randomly divided into the study group and the control group. The control group was treated with levothyroxine sodium tablets，and the study group was additionally treated with Yiqi Yangyin prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were given the same postoperative nursing，and an eight-week continuous treatment. Before and after treatment，the levels of Free Triiodothyronine(FT3)，free tetraiodothyronine (FT4)， thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)， and thyroglobulin(TG) in serum were detected. After treatment， the Chinese medicine syndrome scores and clinical effect in the two groups were evaluated. Results：After treatment，the levels of FT3 and FT4 in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the levels of TSH and TG werec decreased(P＜0.05)；the levels of FT3 and FT4 in the study group were higher than those in the control group，and the levels of TSH and TG were lower(P＜0.05). Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)， the difference being significant(P＜0.05).The clinical effect in the study group was superior to that in the control group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 67.65% in the study group，significantly higher than that of 32.35% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Yiqi Yangyin prescription combined with levothyroxine sodium tablets has good curative effect in the treatment of patients after surgery of thyroid carcinoma. It can promote the recovery of thyroid function，and improve Chinese medicine syndrome.
