Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing on the prognosis of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Methods: A total of 100 cases of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage were selected for study, and were randomly divided into the study group and the control group. Both groups were given conservative treatment;the control group was given routine western medicine nursing, and the study group was given integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing. Both groups were given continuous nursing for four weeks and followed up for two months. The volume of cerebral hematoma was measured according to skull CT examination; the neurological function was assessed by the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS); the self- care ability was assessed by the Barthel Index(BI). The nursing satisfaction in the two groups was investigated. Results: Before nursing, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the volumes of cerebral hematoma and the scores of NIHSS and BI between the two groups(P>0.05). After nursing, the volume of cerebral hematoma and NIHSS score in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and BI score was higher(P<0.05). The total nursing satisfaction rate was 98.00% in the study group, higher than that of 86.00% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing has better overall effect in treating patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage, which can help patients restore the neurological function and improve their self-care ability.
