Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine nursing of hot-wet compression in patients with static swelling after operation for fracture. Methods：A total of 98 cases of patients with static swelling after operation for fracture were divided into the control group and the experiment group by random draw，49 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing，and the experiment group was additionally given Chinese medicine nursing of hot- wet compression based on the nursing of the control group. The pain，the perimeters of the affected limb，the hospitalization time and the time of detumescence before and after nursing as well as the nursing satisfaction in the two groups were observed. Results： The nursing satisfaction was 71.43% in the control group and 95.92% in the experiment group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After nursing， the scores of pain and the perimeter of the affected limb in the two groups were fewer than those before nursing，and the above two indexes in the experiment group were fewer than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The hospitalization time and the time of detumescence in the experiment group were shorter than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The intervention of Chinese medicine nursing of hot-wet compression for patients with static swelling after operation for fracture has excellent effect，and can promote the detumescence of static swelling in the affected limb，relieve the pain，which is conducive to early rehabilitation and discharge with higher satisfaction，and promotes the harmonious development of nursepatient relationship.
