Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of thumbtack needle combined with Chinese medicine nursing for nerve root cervical spondylosis. Methods：A total of 92 cases of patients with nerve root cervical spondylosis were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，46 cases in each group. The control group was given acupuncture combined with routine nursing intervention，and the observation group was additionally intervened with thumbtack needle combined with Chinese medicine nursing based on the routine nursing intervention in the control group. Both groups were intervened for four weeks. The clinical effect，symptom improvement， rehabilitation effect of cervical function and the nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 91.30% in the observation group and 71.74% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜ 0.05). After treatment，the scores of symptoms，signs and adaptability in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the scores of the above three detailed rules in Clinical Assessment Scale for Cervical Spondylosis(CASCS) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of the active degree of cervical vertebrate in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05)；VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Nursing satisfaction was 95.65% in the observation group and 76.09% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The intervention of thumbtack needle combined with Chinese medicine nursing for nerve root cervical spondylosis can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients，relieve their pain and enhance the nursing satisfaction，which has a positive role in the rehabilitation of cervical function.
