Effect of Point Massage Combined with Emotional Nursing on Psychological State in Patients with First-Episode Schizophrenia Complicated with Depressive Symptoms
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of point massage combined with emotional nursing on psychological state in patients with first-episode schizophrenia complicated with depressive symptoms based on the routine medical care. Methods: A total of 78 cases of patients with first- episode schizophrenia complicated with depressive symptoms were randomly selected as the study subjects and divided into the study group and the control group,39 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing,and the study group was additionally intervened with point massage combined with emotional nursing based on the nursing of the control group. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. Before intervention, after four,eight and twelve weeks of intervention respectively,the psychological health status,the depressive state and the quality of life in the two groups were evaluated. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared. Results:After three months of intervention, the total effective rate was 89.74% in the study group and 66.67% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The scores of negative symptoms,positive symptoms and general symptoms as well as the total scores in Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale(PANSS) in the two groups were decreased with the increase of intervention time(P<0.05);after four,eight and twelve weeks of intervention respectiely,the above scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) in the two groups were decreased with the increase of intervention time(P<0.05);after four,eight and twelve weeks of intervention respectively, the HAMD scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of Schizophrenia Quality of Life Scale(SQLS) in the two groups were decreased with the increase of intervention time(P<0.05); after four,eight and twelve weeks of intervention respectively,the SQLS scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The intervention of point massage combined with emotional nursing based on the routine medical care can effectively improve psychological state in patients with first-episode schizophrenia complicated with depressive symptoms,and has positive significance in improving the quality of life of patients.
