Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Dizhuo Jianpi Tongqiao tang combined with bi-level positive airway pressure ventilator for obstructive sleep apnea- hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS). Methods： A total of 94 cases of OSAHS patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group，47 cases in each group. Both groups were given intervention of diet and life；the control group was additionally given bi-level positive airway pressure ventilator，and the treatment group was additionally given the oral administration of Dizhuo Jianpi Tongqiao tang based on the treatment of the control group. After 12- week continuous treatment， the curative effect was determined in the two groups. Chinese medicine syndrome scores， apnea- hypopnea index(AHI)， snore index， the lowest pulse oxygen saturation(LSpO2)， the longest apnea duration，oxygen desaturation index(ODI)，score of Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS)，C-reactive protein(CRP)， tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)，interleukin-18(IL-18)，and adverse reactions were compared in the two groups before and after treatment. Results：The total clinical effective rate was 91.49% in the treatment group，significantly higher than that of 74.47% in the control group(P＜0.05). When compared with those in the same group before treatment，Chinese medicine syndrome scores，AHI，snore index，the longest apnea duration，ODI，score of ESS，CRP，TNF-α，and IL-18 in the two groups were decreased after treatment(P＜0.05)， and LSpO2 was increased(P＜0.05). After treatment， Chinese medicine syndrome scores，AHI，snore index，the longest apnea duration，ODI，score of ESS，CRP，TNF- α，and IL- 18 in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and LSpO2 was higher(P＜0.05). During treatment，no severe adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion：The therapy of Dizhuo Jianpi Tongqiao tang combined with bi- level positive airway pressure ventilator has significant curative effect in the treatment of OSAHS patients of binding of phlegm and stasis type，which can effectively improve AHI，snore index，the longest apnea duration，LSpO2，ODI，and score of ESS，reduce inflammatory factors，and relieve inflammatory responses in the body.
