Abstract： Objective： To observe the efficacy of Xingnao Yizhi tang combined with donepezil hydrochloride in the treatment of Alzheimer diseases. Methods：A total of 83 patients with Alzheimer diseases were divided into an observation group of 43 cases and a control group of 40 cases according to a random number table. After admission，both groups were given clinically relevant routine treatments. On this basis，the control group was given donepezil hydrochloride treatment. The observation group was treated with Xingnao Yizhi tang on the basis of the control group. After 3 months of continuous treatment，the clinical efficacy，TCM syndrome score，cognitive function，mental behavior and self-care ability of the two groups were evaluated. Results：The total effective rate(95.35%) of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group(67.50%) (P＜0.05)；there was no significant difference in the scores of TCM syndrome and Minimental State Examination(MMSE)， Neuropsychiatric Inventory(NPI) and Functional Independence Measure(FIM) scores between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05)； the scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups were significantly reduced after treatment，and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05)；the MMSE and FIM scores of the two groups were significantly increased，and the observation group was higher than the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the NPI score was significantly reduced，and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Xingnao Yizhi tang combined with donepezil hydrochloride has a definite effect in the treatment of patients with Alzheimer diseases. It can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms and mental behavior symptoms of the patients，and help restore the patients' cognitive function and self-care ability.
