Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of point moxibustion combined with auricular point pressing with beans for hyperemesis gravidarum. Methods:A total of 100 cases of patients with hyperemesis gravidarum were selected as the study objects, and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,50 cases in each group. The control group was given intravenous fluid replacement, and the observation group was additionally given point moxibustion combined with auricular point pressing with beans based on the treatment of the control group. The treatment lasted from seven to ten days. The clinical effect, symptom scores, hyperemesis gravidarum score (HGS), and the time of urine ketone body turning to negative, as well as levels of motilin, β- human chorionic gonadotropin(β- HCG), and electrolyte indexes were compared between the two groups. During the first two week after treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 98.00% in the observation group, higher than that of 80.00% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, symptom scores of vomiting, nausea, and eating disorder in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the three symptom scores above in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of HGS and β-HCG in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of motilin were increased (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of HGS and β-HCG in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),the level of motilin was higher(P<0.05),and the time of urine ketone body turning to negative was shorter(P< 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum potassium and serum sodium in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the two levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); carbon dioxide binding force in the two groups was decreased when compared with that before treatment(P< 0.05), and the carbon dioxide binding force in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of hyperemesis gravidarum, the therapy of point moxibustion combined with auricular point pressing with beans can significantly improve clinical symptoms and electrolyte imbalance, promote gastrointestinal motility, and reduce recurrence rate.
