Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of point application combined with point massage on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) of phlegm- heat constraining the lung type. Methods: A total of 78 COPD patients of phlegm-heat constraining the lung type were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 39 cases in each group. Both groups were given antibiotics, atomization inhalation, oxygen therapy and other common treatment;the control group was additionally given point massage, and the observation group was additionally given point application based on the treatment of the control group. The changes of forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1),ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second to forced vital capacity(FEV1/ FVC) and clinical symptom scores were observed before and after treatment in the two groups. Results:After treatment, the values of FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above two values were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the clinical symptom scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the symptom scores were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of point application combined with point massage has a positive therapeutic effect on COPD patients of phlegm-heat constraining the lung type, which can significantly improve the lung function and clinical symptoms.
