Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of virtual reality technology combined with Chinese medicine emotional intervention on recovery in patients with post-stroke depression. Methods:A total of 90 cases of patients with post-stroke depression were divided into two groups according to the odd-even number grouping method,45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention,and the observation group was additionally intervened with virtual reality technology combined with emotional nursing based on the treatment of the control group. The scores of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) and compliance behavior in the two groups were compared. Results: After nursing intervention, the scores of HAMA, HAMD and NIHSS in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the above scores in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After nursing intervention,the scores of medicinetaking on time, reasonable diet, exercise compliance and regular return visit as well as the total score in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Virtual reality technology combined with emotional intervention can effectively improve depressive symptoms of patients with poststroke depression,improve compliance behavior and promote the functional recovery of injured nerves.
