Effect of Five Mimic-Animal Exercise Combined with Tuina on Chinese Medicine Syndromes and Expressions of TNF-α,CD4+,OT and β-EP in Serum in Patients with Primary Dysmenorrhea
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of five mimic- animal exercise combined with tuina for primary dysmenorrhea(PD) and its effect on the levels of tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α), CD4+ , oxytocin(OT) and β-endorphin (β-EP) in serum. Methods:A total of 80 cases of female college students with PD were divided into the control group,the five mimic- animal exercise group, the tuina group and the five mimic- animal exercise combined with tuina group. The control group was treated with Tianqi Tongjing capsules, and the other three groups was respectively given five mimicanimal exercise,tuina,five mimic-animal exercise and tuina. All groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The clinical effect was evaluated by Chinese medicine syndrome scores. The mechanism was discussed by the changes of expressions of TNF-α,CD4+,OT and β-EP in serum. Results:Compared with those before treatment,the Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the four groups were decreased after one,two and three courses of treatment(P<0.05),and gradually decreased with the increase of the course. Three months after treatment, the Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the four groups were increased when compared with those after three- course treatment(P<0.05); the score in the five mimic- animal exercise and tuina group was lower than those in the five mimic- animal exercise group combined with the tuina group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of TNF- α and OT in serum in the four groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of CD4+ and β-EP in serum were increased (P<0.05). After treatment, the comparisons of levels of CD4 + and OT among the four groups showed significance in differences(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of TNF-α and β-EP among the four groups(P>0.05). After treatment,the OT level in the five mimic-animal exercise combined with tuina group was lower than those in the control group,the five mimic-animal exercise group and the tuina group(P<0.05),and the CD4+ level was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the clinical effect among the four groups(P>0.05). Conclusion:The five mimic- animal exercise combined with tuina for PD has good short- term and long- term curative effect, whose mechanism may be related to the regulation of the levels of TNF- α, CD4+,OT and β-EP in serum.
