Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of modified Tongqiao Huoxue tang combined with auricular point bloodletting therapy on post-traumatic brain syndrome(PTBS). Methods：A total of 60 PTBS patients with blood stagnation syndrome were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method， 30 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment， and the treatment group was given Tongqiao Huoxue tang combined with auricular point bloodletting therapy. Both groups were treated for two weeks. The clinical effect， relief and disappearance time of headache or dizziness were compared between the two groups， and the improvement of hemodynamic indexes was observed. Results：The total effective rate was 83.33% in the treatment group， higher than that of 60.00% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the relief and disappearance time of headache or dizziness in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). On the seventh day of treatment， the levels of whole blood high shear viscosity， whole blood low shear viscosity and plasma viscosity in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the levels of the above hemodynamic indexes in the treatment group were decreased more significantly than those in the control group(P＜0.05). On the fourteenth day of treatment，the above hemodynamic levels in both groups were decreased when compared with those on the seven day of treatment(P＜0.05)，the differences between the two groups being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of modified Tongqiao Huoxue tang combined with auricular point bloodletting therapy for PTBS patients，can significantly reduce headache or dizziness of patients and improve hemodynamic indexes.
