Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Jiangzhi Tongmai capsules combined with routine therapy for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) with binding of phlegm and stasis syndrome. Methods：A total of 120 cases of NASH patients with binding of phlegm and stasis syndrome were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， 60 cases in each group. Both groups were given oral administration of Jiangzhi Tongmai capsules and vitamin E soft capsules based on the change of unhealthy lifestyles；the observation group was additionally treated with Jiangzhi Tongmai capsules. Both groups were treated for three months. Before treatment and after three- month treatment， the levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT)， aspartate aminotransferase(AST)， total cholesterol(TC)， triglyceride(TG)， high- density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL- C) and low- density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL- C) in the two groups were detected；abdominal CT scan and abdominal ultrasound were performed； the scores of binding of phlegm and stasis syndrome， the curative effect of Chinese medicine syndrome， abdominal CT scan and abdominal ultrasound were evaluated. Results： After three- month treatment， the curative effect of Chinese medicine syndrome， abdominal CT scan and abdominal ultrasound in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The levels of TC，TG and LDL-C in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and the HDL-C levels were increased(P＜0.01). The levels of TC，TG and LDL-C in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the HDL-C level was higher(P＜0.05). The levels of ALT and AST in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01). The levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01). Conclusion： Jiangzhi Tongmai capsules combined with routine therapy for NASH can better regulate the blood lipid levels of patients， protect their liver function，relieve the degree of fatty liver and promote the recovery of liver histolomorph and essence.
