Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Shangqing tablets combined with western medicine on acute laryngitis with wind heat invading the lung syndrome. Methods:A total of 106 children with acute laryngitis with wind heat invading the lung syndrome were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,53 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with cefixime granules and budesonide suspension for inhalation, and symptomatic treatment such as rehydration, antipyretic and sedation;the observation group was additionally given Shangqing tablets. Both groups were treated for seven days. Before treatment and seven days after treatment, the scores of main symptoms and signs were evaluated;the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),blood routine test, electrocardiogram, liver function and kidney function were detected, and the adverse reactions during the treatment were recorded. Results: After treatment, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). The disappearance time of hoarseness and sore throat in the observation group was faster than that in the control group(P<0.01). The scores of hoarseness, sore throat, vocal cord condition and laryngeal mucosa in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the above four scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). The levels of CRP and TNF- α in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the above two levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P< 0.01). There was no obvious drug-related adverse events in both groups. Conclusion:The additional application of Shangqing tablets based on western medicine for children with acute laryngitis with wind heat invading the lung syndrome, can effectively reduce hoarseness, sore throat and other symptoms, shorten the course of disease and control inflammatory reaction, with great safety.
