Abstract: Objective: To investigate the improvement effect of personalized music therapy combined with emotional nursing of Chinese medicine on psychology and sleep in ICU patients. Methods:A total of 123 cases of ICU patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,61 and 62 cases in each group respectively. The control group was intervened with routine nursing combined with emotional nursing of Chinese medicine, and the observation group was given personalized music therapy based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after nursing,the scores of psychological state,the sleep quality,the hospitalization time,the incidences of ICU syndrome and the nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results: At discharge, the scores of depression, somatization, anxiety, interpersonal sensitivity, obsessive- compulsive symptoms, hostility and paranoid ideation in the observation group were better than those in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of psychotic symptoms and terror between the two groups(P> 0.05). After nursing, the sleep quality in the two groups was improved when compared with that before nursing; at discharge,the time for falling asleep,the sleep quality and the total scores of sleep quality in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The hospitalization time, the incidence of ICU syndrome and the nursing satisfaction in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Personalized music therapy combined with emotional nursing of Chinese medicine can effectively regulate negative emotions such as anxiety and depression in ICU patients, improve their sleep quality,reduce the incidence of ICU syndrome and shorten the hospitalization time.
