Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of point application with Weishu paste combined with point massage for gastrointestinal dysfunction after radical gastrectomy. Methods:A total of 110 cases of patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,55 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment after radical gastrectomy;the control group was additionally given point massage,and the observation group was additionally given point application with Weishu paste based on the treatment of the control group. The time of the first anal exhaust and defecation,and the recovery time of bowel sound after surgery were compared between the two groups. The clinical effect and quality of life were evaluated. Results: The excellent and good rate was 60.00% in the observation group, higher than that of 40.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The time of the first anal exhaust and defecation,and the recovery time of bowel sound after surgery in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the scores of role function,body function,emotional function,cognitive function,and social function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of point application with Weishu paste combined with point massage can significantly improve gastrointestinal function of patients after radical gastrectomy, and increase their quality of life with better curative effect.
