Abstract： Rheumatism is a refractory diseases， which belong to the category of impediment syndrome in Chinese medicine. The pathogenesis can be summarized in such aspects as the external attack of cold，heat and damp pathogens， obstruction of turbid phlegm and blood stasis，and deficiency of healthy qi. Clubbed needling therapy is a gentle method， which can soothe and promote channel qi，and unblock the channels and relieve pain. By combining the clinical cases of systemic sclerosis and ankylosing spondylitis，this paper explores the specific application of clubbed needling therapy in the treatment of rheumatism.
