Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of retention enema with Kangfuyan capsules combined with nursing intervention for pelvic inflammatory disease in patients with infertility. Methods：A total of 89 cases of patients with infertility caused by pelvic inflammatory disease were divided into the control group and the observation group，44 and 45 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given retention enema with Kangfuyan capsules combined with routine nursing intervention， and the observation group was additionally given comprehensive nursing intervention based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of inflammatory factors and the main clinical symptoms before and after intervention as well as the changes in various indexes of prognosis after intervention in the two groups were compared. Results：After intervention， the levels of inflammatory factors in the two groups were improved when compared with those before intervention，and the levels of interleukin-1(IL-1)，IL-2，IL-6 and tumor necrosis facctor-α(TNF-α) in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After intervention，the cases of tenderness in uterus and adnexa area as well as lower abdominal pain in the observation group were fewer than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After intervention， the negative rate of pathogens， the number of cured cases as well as the recurrence and pregnancy within one year in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of retention enema with Kangfuyan capsules combined with nursing intervention for pelvic inflammatory disease in patients with infertility can effectively improve the levels of inflammatory factors， relieve clinical symptoms， reduce recurrence， and enhance the curative effect and pregnancy probability.
