Abstract：Objective：To observe the nursing effect of the compressing and pushing method of yang-reinforcing cupping along the channels on patients with lumbar disc herniation of cold- damp type. Methods： Eighty cases with lumbar disc herniation of cold- damp type were divided into two groups，40 cases in each group. The conventional group was simply treated with Chinese herbs， and the observation group was treated with the compressing and pushing method of yang reinforcing cupping along the channels based on the treatment of Chinese herbs. The therapeutic effect was compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 82.50% in the conventional group， and 92.50% in the observation group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After the intervention，the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) in the two groups were improved，and the score in the observation group was better than that in the conventional group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After the intervention，the syndrome scores in the two groups were improved，and the score in the observation group was better than that in the conventional group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The compressing and pushing method of yang- reinforcing cupping along the channels can improve the symptoms of patients with lumbar disc herniation of cold- damp type， relieve the pain and improve the effective rate of clinical treatment.
