Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Shengru tang combined with routine nursing measures for postpartum hypogalactia. Methods：A total of 120 cases of puerpera with postpartum hypogalactia with qi-blood weakness syndrome were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group，60 cases in each group. Both groups were given tuina on breast，diet nursing，emotional nursing，lactation education and other comprehensive nursing measures，and the observation group was additionally given the oral administration of Shengru tang. Both groups were intervened for five days. Before and after five- day intervetion， the scores of milk volume， breast filling and milk viscosity were evaluated； prolactin(PRL) level in serum was detected. Results：After intervention，the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The scores of milk volume，breast filling and milk viscosity in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and the above three scores in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01). The PRL levels in the two groups were higher than those before treatment (P＜0.01)，and the level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.01). Conclusion：Based on the comprehensive nursing measures， the oral administration of Shengru prescription can enhance the PRL level of puerpera，promote milk secretion and effectively improve the hypogalactia.
