Abstract : Objective : To discuss the effect of warming-needle moxibustion combined with hyperbaric oxygen on neuropeptide Y (NPY) and homocysteine (Hcy) in serum in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods:A total of 120 cases of patients with acute ischemic stroke were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,60 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment, and the observation group was additionally treated with warming- needle moxibustion combined with hyperbaric oxygen. Both groups were treated for one month. The curative effect was observed. The changes in levels of Hcy and NPY in serum were compared. Results: After treatment, the levels of NPY and Hcy in serum in the observation group were decreased and lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the score of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) in the observation group was decreased and lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 88.33% in the observation group, higher than that of 73.33% in the control group(χ 2=4.357,P=0.037<0.05). Conclusion:The application of warming- needle moxibustion combined with hyperbaric oxygen for patients with acute ischemic stroke can reduce the levels of NPY and Hcy in serum, improve blood stream state and promote the recovery of neurological function with good curative effect.
