Effect of Emotional Nursing of Chinese Medicine Combined with Positive Reinforce⁃ ment on Compliance, Pain and Puncture Success Rate of Children with Intravenous Infusion
Abstract: Objective: To discuss the effect of emotional nursing of Chinese medicine combined with positive reinforcement on compliance, pain and puncture success rate of children with intravenous infusion. Methods: A total of 200 cases of children who received intravenous infusion were selected as the study subjects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random envelope method, 100 cases in each group. The control group received infusion with routine pediatric nursing, and the observation group was additionally treated with emotional nursing of Chinese medicine combined with positive reinforcement based on the nursing of the control group. The compliance of infusion, pain and puncture success rate were compared between the two groups. Results:The success rate of the first puncture for children under five years old and that for over 5 years old in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group, and the comparison of the total rate showed significance in the difference(P<0.05). The comparison of the incidence of infusion risks between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P<0.05). The compliance of infusion in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The Wong- Baker score and the proportion of moderate and severe pain in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Emotional nursing of Chinese medicine combined with positive reinforcement can effectively improve compliance of children who received intravenous infusion, stable their mood, further enhance puncture success rate, and reduce the pain degree during infusion.
