Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of modified Tianyin tang combined with rehabilitation training for limb function recovery in senile patients with post-stroke hemiplegia. Methods:A total of 72 cases of senile patients with poststroke hemiplegia were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 36 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment for stroke according to the guidelines; the control group was given rehabilitation training, and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Tianyin tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The scores of limb motor function, balance ability and walking ability as well as activities of daily living in the two groups were compared. Results: After intervention, the scores of Fugl- Meyer Motor Scale(FMMS) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before intervention(P<0.01); the increase in the observation group was more significant when compared with that in the control group(P<0.01). After intervention, the scores of Berg Balance Scale(BBS) and Barthel Index(BI) in the two groups were increased, and the scores of walking ability were decreased(P<0.01);the increase of the scores of BBS and BI and the decrease of the score of walking ability in the observation group were more significant when compared with those in the control group(P<0.01). The total effective rate was 77.78% in the observation group, higher than that of 52.78% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of modified Tianyin tang combined with rehabilitation training has effect on limb function recovery in senile patients with post-stroke hemiplegia.
