Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Bikang tablets combined with loratadine tablets for allergic rhinitis. Methods:A total of 102 cases of patients with allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, 51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with loratadine tablets, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Bikang tablets based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two courses, one week being a course. The clinical effect in the two groups was counted. Before and after treatment, the changes in Chinese medicine scores and levels of interleukin- 4(IL- 4), interleukin- 2(IL- 2) and immunoglobulin E(IgE) in serum in the two groups were counted. Results:The total effective rate was 98.04% in the treatment group and 86.27% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-4,IL-2 and lgE in serum in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Bikang tablets combined with loratadine tablets for allergic rhinitis has definite effect and can significantly relieve clinical symptoms and down- regulate levels of IL- 4, IL- 2 and lgE, whose curative effect is superior to that of simple loratadine tablets.
