Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of directional penetration of Chinese medicine combined with celecoxib capsules, tuina and massage for patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods:A total of 86 cases of patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into the study group and the control group,43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with celecoxib capsules combined with tuina and massage, and the study group was additionally treated with directional penetration of Chinese medicine based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one month. Before treatment, the scores of Chinese medicine syndromes,Visual Analogue scale(VAS) and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC) scale in the two groups were evaluated. Results: The total effective rate was 95.35% in the study group and 81.40% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the score in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, VAS scores, the scores of pain, stiffness and activity obstacle in WOMAC scale and the total WOMAC scores in the two groups were all decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The comprehensive treatment of directional penetration of Chinese medicine for knee osteoarthritis can improve the pain and stiffness of knee joints with good clinical effect.
