Abstract:Objective:To observe the preventive effect of Chinese medicine nursing on deep vein thrombosis after knee joint replacement. Methods:A total of 92 cases of patients undergoing knee joint replacement were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the odd and even numbers of their admission date,46 cases in each group. After surgery, the control group was given routine nursing; based on the treatment of the control group, the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine nursing techniques including point moxibustion, external application of Chinese medicine, point massage and dietary nursing. After surgery, both groups were treated for 15 days. Before and after intervention, the circumferences of affected thigh and calf, prothrombin time(PT), activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) and incidences of deep vein thrombosis in the two groups were compared. Results: After intervention, the circumferences of affected thigh and calf in the two groups were reduced(P<0.05),and the reduction in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). After intervention,PT and APTT in the two groups were prolonged(P<0.05);PT and APTT in the observation group were longer than those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of deep vein thrombosis was 2.17% in the observation group, lower than that of 17.39% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The intervention of Chinese medicine nursing for patients after knee joint replacement can promote their postoperative rehabilitation and effectively prevent deep vein thrombosis.
