Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Shexiang Baoxin pills combined with isosorbide mononitrate sustained-release tablets for angina pectoris(AP) of coronary heart disease. Methods：A total of 78 cases of AP patients were divided into the control group and the treatment group， 39 cases in each group. The control group was given oral administration of isosorbide mononitrate sustained- release tablets，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Shexiang Baoxin pills based on the treatment of the control group. The electro cardiogram efficacy was observed in the two groups. Before and after treatment，the duration of angina pectoris，the score of left ventricular ejection fraction，cardiac output volume and adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Results：The total effective rate of electrocardiogram was 87.18% in the control group， and 97.44% in the treatment group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). When compared with those in the same group before treatment，the duration of angina pectoris in the two groups after treatment was decreased(P＜0.05)，and the duration in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05). When compared with those in the same group before treatment，the score of left ventricular ejection fraction and cardiac output volume in the two groups after treatment were increased(P＜0.05)，and the two indexes in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). No adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion：Shexiang Baoxin pills has a significant clinical effect on AP，and can effectively improve the heart function with high safety.
