Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Tongluo Tiaochong tang on menorrhagia，ovarian function and plasma substance P caused by uterine adenomyosis and its curative effect. Methods：A total of 80 cases of patients diagnosed with uterine adenomyosis with various complications were selected as the study subjects，and divided into the study group and the routine group according to different treatment regimens， 40 cases in each group. The study group was treated with modified Tongluo Tiaochong tang， and the routine group was treated with mifepristone. The menstrual volume， ovarian function，plasma substance P before and after treatment and the total effective rates in the two groups were compared. Results： After treatment， the menstrual volume， carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)， follicle- stimulating hormone(FSH)， luteinizing hormone(LH) and plasma substance P in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above indexes in the study group were lower than those in the routine group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the total effective rate was 97.5% in the study group，significantly higher than that of 85.0% in the routine group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The application of modified Tongluo Tiaochong tang for patients with abnormal menstruation induced by uterine adenomyosis has significant clinical effect and can effectively treat the problem of excessive menstrual flow，improve the ovarian function of patients as well as regulate the plasma substance P and various serum hormones.
