Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of syndrome differentiation and treatment combined with routine treatment for facial acne. Methods:A total of 107 cases of patients with facial acne were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,53 and 54 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given routine treatment, and the observation group was additionally given syndrome differentiation and treatment based on the treatment of the control group. The changes in the sebum content, the water content, and pH value of facial stratum corneum, and scores of skin lesion, hyperpigmentation, erythema, and quality of life before and after treatment were compared in the two groups. Results:When compared with those in the same group before treatment, the sebum content and the water content of facial stratum corneum as well as scores of skin lesion, hyperpigmentation, and erythema in the two groups after treatment were decreased(P<0.05);pH value together with each score of quality of life was increased(P<0.05). When compared with those in the control group after treatment, the sebum content and the water content of facial stratum corneum as well as scores of skin lesion, hyperpigmentation, and erythema in the observation group were lower(P<0.05); pH value together with each score of quality of life was higher(P<0.05). Conclusion: For patients with facial acne, the therapy of syndrome differentiation and treatment combined with routine treatment can effectively regulate their sebum content, water content, and pH value of facial stratum corneum, improve skin lesion, hyperpigmentation, erythema, and enhance quality of life.
