Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect ofRadix Scutellariae combined with exposed burn ointment for chronic intractable skin ulcer in senile patients. Methods:A total of 78 cases of senile patients with chronic intractable skin ulcer were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,39 cases in each group. All patients were given routine treatment;the control group was additionally treated with exposed burn ointment, and the observation group was additionally treated with water extract of Radix Scutellariae wet compressing based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. Recovery time of slough, the time of tissue regeneration and the healing time of wounds were observed and compared between the two groups. The main symptom scores and clinical effect were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 100% in the observation group, and 97.44% in the control group, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, recovery time of slough, the time of tissue regeneration and the healing time of wounds in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, symptom scores of redness, pain, slough and purulent secretion in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and each score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of chronic intractable skin ulcer in senile patients, the therapy of water extract of Radix Scutellariae combined with exposed burn ointment can effectively promote the recovery from ulcer, and improve clinical effect.
