Abstract： Treating disease before it arises is a high generalization and summary of preventive medicine of Chinese medicine. In the theory of treating disease before it arises，the academic ideas of prevent disease before it arises and control the development of existing disease run through all stages of asthma. From the perspective of treating disease before it arises，prevention and treatment methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in different stages of asthma can provide ideas for the clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of asthma.
