Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of micro-adjustment manipulation of cervical vertebrea for vertigo of atlantoaxial instability type. Methods:A total of 40 cases of patients with vertigo of atlantoaxial instability type were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,20 cases in each group. Both groups were given medication treatment,traction therapy,and functional exercise. The control group was additionally given traditional tuina therapy. The observation was additionally given micro- adjustment manipulation of cervical vertebrae. The clinical effect was compared between the two groups. The symptom score of vertigo,and hemodynamic indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 95.00% in the observation group,higher than that of 60.00% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment,when compared each symptom score and the total score between the two groups,there was no significance being found in the difference(P>0.05). After treatment, each symptom score and the total score in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and each symptom score and the total score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, when compared the blood flow velocity of left vertebral artery(LVA),right vertebral artery(RVA) and basilar artery(BA) between the two groups, there was no significance being found in differences(P>0.05). After treatment,the blood flow velocity of LVA,RVA and BA in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment,and the blood flow velocity of LVA,RVA and BA in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of vertigo of atlantoaxial instability type, the therapy of micro- adjustment manipulation of cervical vertebrea and cervical traction can improve clinical symptoms and enhance blood flow velocity with good clinical effect.
