Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of foot bath with Guiqi Aiyi tang combined with air pressure therapeutic apparatus preventing deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs in elderly puerpera after cesarean section. Methods： A total of 100 cases of elderly puerpera who waited for cesarean section were selected，and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention during perioperative period combined with air pressure therapeutic apparatus， and the observation group was additionally given foot bath with Guiqi Aiyi tang based on the treatment of the control group. The incidence of deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs and pain sensation in lower limbs after surgery were compared between the two groups. The exhaust time，sleep quality，lactation volume，lochia volume，and the incidence of complications were counted. Results：After surgery，the exhaust time，score of sleep quality，and lochia volume in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，and lactation volume was higher than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After surgery，the incidence of deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs and pain score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications was 2.00% in the observation group，lower than that of 12.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：In preventive nursing of venous thrombosis of lower limbs for elderly puerpera after cesarean section，the therapy of foot bath with Guiqi Aiyi tang combined with air pressure therapeutic apparatus can promote postpartum recovery， improve blood circulation of body， relieve puerpera-related postpartum complications，and reduce the incidence of venous thrombosis of lower limbs.
