Clinical Study on Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Nursing Measures Inter⁃ vening Patients After Surgery for Atherosclerosis Obliterans of Lower Extremities
Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing measures intervening patients with atherosclerosis obliterans(ASO) of lower extremities after balloon dilatation and stents placement. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with balloon dilatation and stents placement. After surgery, both groups were treated with the oral administration of aspirin enteric coated tablets and cilostazol tablets, comprehensive nursing measures, and treatment measures to lower blood lipid, control blood glucose and blood pressure, and reduce other risk factors. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The observation group was additionally treated with Shuxuetong injection, point massage and moxibustion for continuous ten days. On the day after surgery and four weeks after surgery, color Doppler ultrasound was applied to measure ankle brachial index(ABI),symptoms and signs were scored on the day after surgery and four week after surgery. The occurrence of complications within 4 weeks after surgery was recorded, and nursing satisfaction was evaluated at discharge. The clinical effect was evaluated in the two groups. Results: After treatment, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). The ABI in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment, and scores of symptoms and signs were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01). The ABI in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.01),scores of symptoms and signs were lower(P<0.01). Nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P< 0.05). During the first four weeks after surgery, cumulative incidence of complications was 27.5% in the observation group, lower than that of 65.0% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.01). Conclusion:For patients with ASO of lower extremities after balloon dilatation and stents placement, integrated Chinese and western medicine nursing measures can further relieve postoperative intermittent claudication, resting pain and other symptoms, improve blood circulation, reduce the occurrence of complications, and enhance clinical effect and nursing satisfaction.
