Clinical Study on Modified Taohong Siwu Tang and Sanzi Yangqin Tang for Cough with Asthma in Advanced Non- Small Cell Lung Cancer of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis Type
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Taohong Siwu tang and Sanzi Yangqin tang for cough with asthma in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) of qi stagnation and blood stasis type. Methods:A total of 86 cases of cough with asthma in advanced NSCLC patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Taohong Siwu tang and Sanzi Yangqin tang based on the treatment of the control group. The remission rate of expectoration, the lung function and the scores of quality of life in Karnofsky(KPS) before and after treatment and the adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the remission rate of expectoration was 83.72% in the observation group, significantly higher than that of 62.79% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1) and peak expiratory flow(PEF) in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,KPS scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the KPS score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Modified Taohong Siwu tang and Sanzi Yangqin tang has good clinical effect for cough with asthma in advanced NSCLC patients, which can effectively improve the lung function and quality of life.
