Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Zuojin bolus combined with aluminum magnesium carbonate for reflux esophagitis. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with reflux esophagitis were divided into Group A and Group B according to different treatment methods, 40 cases in each group. Group A was treated with aluminum magnesium carbonate, and Group B was treated with modified Zuojin bolus combined with aluminum magnesium carbonate. The scores and improvement effect of clinical symptoms, the curative effect of endoscopy and the quality of life in the two groups were compared. Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of clinical symptom scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the clinical symptom scores in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment, and the score in Group B was lower than that in Group A (P< 0.05). The total effective rate of clinical symptom improvement in Group B was higher than that in Group A (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the curative effect of endoscopy in Group B was higher than that in Group A(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the MOS item short from health survey(SF- 36) scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the quality of life in the two groups was improved when compared with that before treatment, and the SF-36 score in Group B was higher than that in Group A(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of modified Zuojin bolus combined with aluminum magnesium carbonate has ideal clinical effect in treating reflux esophagitis, which can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, the curative effect of endoscopy and quality of life in patients.
