Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Buyang Huanwu tang combined with routine western medicine for acute cerebral infarction and its effect on serum C-reactive protein and neurologic impairment in patients. Methods：A total of 64 cases of patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected and divided into the experiment group and the control group according to different treatment methods，32 cases in each group. The experiment group was treated with Buyang Huanwu tang combined with routine western medicine，and the control group was treated with routine western medicine. The levels of serum C-reactive protein and the neurologic impairment scores before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect in the two groups were analyzed. Results： After treatment， the levels of serum C- reactive protein and the neurologic impairment scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)； the level of serum C-reactive protein and the neurologic impairment score in the experiment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the total effective rate was 96.88% in the experiment group，significantly higher than that of 75.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Buyang Huanwu tang combined with routine western medicine for patients with acute cerebral infarction can significantly improve the clinical effect，reduce the levels of serum C-reactive protein and neurologic impairment scores.
