Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of wound care ointment combined with vacuum sealing drainage(VSD) for chronic ulcer. Methods:A total of 86 cases of patients with chronic ulcer were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,43 cases in each group. After VSD,the control group was given routine dressing change, and the observation group was given external application of wound care ointment. Both groups were treated for two months. The score of McGill pain questionnaire and levels of inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Healing time of ulcer, hospitalization time and clinical effect were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, scores of sensory section and affective section in Pain Rating Index(PRI),as well as scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and present pain intensity(PPI) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the four scores above in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 90.70% in the observation group, higher than that of 72.09% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, levels of tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α), C- reactive protein(CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6) in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the three levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The healing of ulcer and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of wound care ointment combined with VSD for chronic ulcer can effectively relieve pain and inflammatory response, promote the healing of ulcer and shorten hospitalization time.
