Abstract： Objective： To investigate the improvement effect of Wenjing Quyu tang on clinical symptoms， endocrine hormone levels and prognosis of patients with irregular menstruation of congealing cold with blood obstruction type. Methods： A total of 120 cases of patients with irregular menstruation of congealing cold with blood obstruction type were divided into Group A and Group B，60 cases in each group. Group A was treated with routine western medicine，and Group B was additionally treated with Chinese medicine of Wenjing Quyu tang. The Chinese medicine syndrome scores， the endocrine hormone levels， the clinical effect， the adverse reactions and the recurrence rates in the two groups were compared. Results：After treatment，the Chinese medicine syndrome score in Group B was lower than that in Group A(P＜ 0.05)；the endocrine hormone level in Group B was better than that in Group A(P＜0.05). The total effective rate in Group B was higher than that in Group A(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions and the recurrence rate in Group B were lower than those in Group A(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Wenjing Quyu tang has ideal curative effect in treating irregular menstruation of congealing cold with blood obstruction type， which can quickly relieve clinical symptoms and improve endocrine hormone levels，with low incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence rate.
