Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Wenjing Sanhan Huoxue prescription combined with ibuprofen sustained- release capsules for primary dysmenorrhea(PD). Methods： A total of 84 cases of PD patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ibuprofen sustained- release capsules， and the observation group was additionally treated with Wenjing Sanhan Huoxue prescription based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of three coagulations including prothrombin time(PT)， activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) and thrombin time(TT) in serum and Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect and adverse reactions in the two groups were observed. Results：The total effective rate was 95.24% in the observation group and 80.95% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜ 0.05). After treatment，the levels of PT，APTT and TT in the observation group were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜ 0.05). After treatment， the levels of PT， APTT and TT in the control group were not significantly improved(P＞0.05). After treatment， Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.76% in the observation group and 16.67% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜ 0.05). Conclusions： The therapy of Wenjing Sanhan Huoxue prescription combined with ibuprofen sustained- release capsules has definite curative effect in treating PD，which can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms of patients，improve the coagulation function and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
