Clinical Study on Shufeng Xuanfei Zhike Huatan Prescription Combined with Montelu⁃ kast Sodium and Budesonide Nasal Spray for Upper Airway Cough Syndrome in Chil⁃ dren
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Shufeng Xuanfei Zhike Huatan prescription combined with montelukast sodium and budesonide nasal spray for upper airway cough syndrome in children. Methods:A total of 120 cases of children with upper airway cough syndrome were selected as the study subjects and were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method,60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with western medicine of montelukast sodium and budesonide nasal spray,and the treatment group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine of Shufeng Xuanfei Zhike Huatan prescription based on the treatment of the control group. After treatment,the clinical effect,Chinese medicine syndrome scores,symptom relief time,adverse reactions and recurrence in the two groups were evaluated. Results: After treatment, the total clinical effective rate was 88.33% in the treatment group,higher than that of 70.00% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,Chinese medicine symptom scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);Chinese medicine symptom score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05), relief time of cough, nasal symptoms and pharyngeal symptoms was shorter(P<0.05). During treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P>0.05). After three- month treatment, the recurrence rate was 3.77% in the treatment group,lower than that of 19.05% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Shufeng Xuanfei Zhike Huatan prescription combined with montelukast sodium and budesonide nasal spray has satisfying curative effect for upper airway cough syndrome in children,and can effectively promote their improvement of symptoms with high drug safety and reduce recurrence rate.
