Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Xiaoyukang combined with burr hole drainage for chronic subdural hematoma. Methods:A total of 68 cases of patients with chronic subdural hematoma who met requirement were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, 34 cases in each group. The control group was given atorvastatin calcium tablets and burr hole drainage, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Xiaoyukang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for 12 weeks. The clinical effect and hematoma volume were observed and compared between the two groups. Activities of Daily Living(ADL) was evaluated. Results: The total effective rate was 97.06% in the treatment group, and 82.35% in the control group, the difference being significant(P< 0.05). At the time of postoperative extubation, the comparison of hematoma volume between the two groups showed no significance in the difference(P>0.05). After operation for 30 days and 90 days, hematoma volume in the two groups was decreased when compared with that at the time of postoperative extubation(P<0.05),and the volume in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, the comparison of ADL scores between the two groups showed no significance in the difference(P>0.05);after treatment, the ADL scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Xiaoyukang combined with burr hole drainage can enhance the clinical effect on CSDH,and improve living ability of patients, with significant clinical effect.
