Abstract：Objective：To observe the nursing effect of nursing intervention of Chinese medicine for severe pneumonia. Methods： A total of 106 cases of patients with severe pneumonia were divided into two groups according to the random number table method，53 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing，and the experiment group was additionally given nursing intervention of Chinese medicine based on the nursing of the control group. The hospitalization time，convalescence period of pneumonia，and the disappearance time of cough were compared between the two groups. Indexes of blood gas analysis and nursing satisfaction before and after nursing were compared between the two groups. Results：After nursing intervention，the hospitalization time，convalescence period of pneumonia，and the disappearance time of cough in the experiment group were better than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After nursing intervention of Chinese medicine，indexes of blood gas analysis，namely，PaO2 and PaCO2，were improved in the experiment group， and better than those in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The total satisfaction of Chinese medicine nursing was 98.11% in the experiment group， higher than that of 81.13% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The implementation of traditional Chinese medicine nursing intervention can shorten the hospitalization time of patients with severe pneumonia， reduce medical expenses， improve pneumonia symptoms，and improve prognosis. It has obvious advantages in improving the treatment effect of patients and has significant nursing value.
